The Prayer Group meeting before the services on Sundays at 10am
and on Saturday afternoon at between 10.30am and 1200 once a month.
PRAYER GROUP
A prayer group meets in the Yellow Room at 10am every Sunday
before the service starts. It will finish no later than 10:20am so
that there will be some quiet time before the service starts. The
group will pray for those on the prayer list and in the prayer book
at the back of the church. All are welcome to pray with the group
or to say a prayer for somebody or something they care about or
to ask the group to do so.
Prayer is an important part of our Christian life, and sometimes
we can struggle to find the time to speak to God. We join together
on the Saturday Prayer Afternoons to bring our prayers to God as
individuals and as a group. We start by Praising God and all his
goodness. We then confess our sins and bring our prayers to the
Lord. We pray for the members of our church, the spiritual growth
of our church. Everyone is welcome at any time during the
afternoon. If you have a prayer you would like to be said, you can
email or call.
Please look at the new Facebook page I have set up for WPURC
and “Like” it so more people read it. Facebook is an important
way of communicating with other people and letting them know
about us. This applies especially to younger people, so please
support this outreach if you can.
